About Dr. Alex M. Greenberg

The dental specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Greenberg manages a wide variety of problems relating to the Mouth, Teeth and Facial Regions. He practices a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from Reconstructive/ Corrective Jaw Surgery to Wisdom Tooth Removal. He also diagnoses and treats Facial Pain, Facial Injuries, Cleft Palate, Oral Pathology, Root Canal Infections and TMJ Disorders and performs a full range of Dental Implant procedures.

Dr. Greenberg is a graduate of The Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He completed a residency in General Dentistry at Beth Israel Medical Center, then a residency and chief residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Mt. Sinai Hospital. He subsequently attended the University of Basel in Switzerland, where he completed a fellowship in Maxillofacial Surgery and has since acquired extensive continuing education in Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Medicine.

He is affiliated with New York-Presbyterian Hospital where he is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He is also on staff at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Beth Israel Medical Center and St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital.

Dr. Greenberg has authored numerous publications, including 7 peer reviewed articles and 2 textbooks published by Springer-Verlag, NY: “Craniomaxillofacial Reconstructive and Corrective Bone Surgery: Principles of Internal Fixation Using the AO/ASIF Technique” and "Craniomaxillofacial Fractures: Principles of Internal Fixation Using the AO/ASIF Technique.” He holds 10 U.S. patents and has lectured extensively throughout the U.S. and overseas.

Our Staff

Our surgical staff members are experienced professionals who assist in the administration of general anesthesia and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Patients are continuously monitored during and after their procedures. All secretarial staff are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in healthcare and insurance policies. The dental assistants are CPR certified and Dr. Greenberg is ACLS certified as required by law for the administration of general anesthesia for which he is additionally licensed by New York State.

Dr. Greenberg speaks Spanish, Hebrew and German. Staff members speak Spanish and Russian.
